About preciseage
preciseage tells you exactly how long you have been alive — in years, days, hours, even seconds. The calculator runs entirely in your browser. Your birth date is never sent anywhere; there is no backend, no analytics on the calculation itself.
Who built it
My name is Onurcan Donmezer. I am a software developer based in Vienna, Austria. I built preciseage after a friend's birthday made me actually do the math on how many days he had been alive — and how many he had left, statistically. The number changed how I thought about a few things. The site exists so that anyone curious enough to ask the question can get the answer in three seconds.
How it calculates
The math accounts for leap years and the Gregorian calendar's actual mean year length (365.2425 days). It uses the browser's local time zone for the "now" moment. Edge cases like February 29th births are handled the way most people intuitively expect (you age by one each year, regardless of leap status).
